About Photographer Igor Maloratsky

"Santa in New York City"
Starring Igor Maloratsky
Igor Maloratsky, a well known New York Photographer, was born and grew up in Russia, where there is much snow in winter. In New York City, his adopted home, snow is very rare. So, when it snows, Igor is on alert and whisks about the City. With his camera and lenses in hand, Igor captures those fleeting moments, so elusive and elegant, so quiet, so pure, so fresh. New York is different on a truly snowy day. The noise of traffic and sirens come mostly to a halt, and Igor has the neighborhoods all to himself – no crowds and traffic.
| Igor Maloratsky moved to New York in 1991. He creates portraits of the City year-round. The architecture and landscape of New York City, picturesque cafés and restaurants, doorways, street signs, and flower stands, are among his favorite subjects. Central Park is one of Igor’s favorite destinations. He frequently focuses on the magic of the carriages, winding walkways, intricate bridges, and famous landmarks, all forming and enhancing the surrounding Cityscape. Igor started taking photographs in college, and he continued to study printing and photo techniques in private photo labs. His first cityscapes collection, in black and white, was "White Nights of St. Petersburg". Igor tries exclude people from his city portraits. He wants the viewer to have an intimate experience with the immediate scene. |
| Igor Maloratsky, and wife Lilia, are proud to present a unique, extensive collection of "Winter in New York". Christmas Greeting Cards, Art Prints, and Exquisite Ornaments are all part of the mesmerizing “Holiday Collection”, suitable for Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's. Some of the uncluttered photos in this collection feature the Empire State Building, in red and green Holiday lights, Christmas Trees at Rockefeller Center and Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Bridge covered with snow, Times Square in a blizzard, and Times Square on New Year’s Eve, with the blur of the crowd, lights, and confetti. |
The collection presented on this web site offers choices for Christmas Ornaments, handmade photo cards, boxed greeting cards, interesting gift Ideas, and so much more. There's even a gift duo of a champagne bottle ornament matched with a Holiday card of the same photo. This is truly a rare, one-of-a-kind collection, with charm and sophistication.
